Justin Budds is excited to be back at OC Cabaret! While choosing his piece for tonight Justin had a bit of a hard time with two other songs that he really wanted to do but upon his lovely wife Madison reminding him that she sadly couldn’t be at the show this month because of the Mouse down the street he decided he would sing a song that she doesn’t want to listen to. So enjoy a song Justin calls one of his all time favorite guilty pleasures.

Dan Byrne, a Millennial manager, was recently scolded by his Gen Z crew-mates. His crime?
Not knowing what cheugy was.
Cheugy n. – Someone or something that is out-of-date, unfashionable, or trying too hard.
Were they calling HIM cheugy in that moment? No. Did he FEEL cheugy in that moment? You
bet. Without warning his back went out, his crows feet cawed and he had become the very
thing he sought to destroy. He already went through his twink death when he turned 30, but
this? He couldn’t bear it. And he’s a YOUNG millennial. So with resolve in his heart, he boldly
parts his hair on the side and presents this next song to you...because if he’s going down, he’s
bringing everybody with him.

Tim Magoun is excited to be back at the OC Cabaret! He's currently a cast member of ImprovCity's Friday/Saturday troupe. He has been always striving to expand his creativity, whether through acting classes, guitar lessons, or singing lessons. You can catch him on select Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm or 9:30pm each month. Being on stage and moving people, either to laughter or tears, is what makes him feel alive.

Introducing Kori Martinez, an 18 year old talent from Orange County, whose passion for music and theater has been the cornerstone of her journey. This is her 3rd cabaret, and is performing with her childhood friend, Marco Machado. As theater technicians, we love the backstage however have an underlying love for music.

Balancing her devotion to the stage, she is a freshman pursuing a major in Theatre for Lighting Design, adding depth and a unique perspective to her artistic journey. She is currently attending OCC and is hoping to go to the east coast to continue her studies.

HI BARBIE!

Sharon Rae Massey is so honored to share this stage with so many rad Barbies, Kens and Alans. Tonight, as she takes a HUGE leap of faith from her “musical” world to Barbieland, she hopes that this movie and Oscar winning song helped you heal as much as it and this space has to heal her. Thank you again Kelsey for providing us this space, our own Barbieland away from the Real World. Also, probably best not to ask Sharon how many times she has seen the Barbie Movie… probably best for everyone.

From building new friendships to reuniting with old friends and becoming something more like family, OC Cabaret has been one of the only constants helping Steve Pepper through a tumultuous couple of years.  Steve is incredibly grateful for every time he gets to share the stage with the incredible talent that gathers here, and looks forward to everything that this next year (and his own personal new decade) will bring.

So to a third year of OC Cabaret, and to his third decade, Steve simply asks: “What’s Next?”

Stephen Prat is a French-born Orange County singer and musician. When he is
not busy playing keyboard (poorly) in a cover band, he can be heard playing sax,
flute, or singing (less poorly...?) in musical projects from Gregorian Chant and
choral concerts to cabaret shows and Celtic music recitals.
When he grows up, he aspires to sing like his wife Rigby Jones, play piano like
Martin Borsanyi, sax like Michael Brecker, and maybe by the time he turns 250,
learn something about Irish tin whistle.

Tj Punchard (he/him) writer and director of No Greater Love: The Musical. Tours: Cinderella (Prince Topher), Cats (Rum Tum Tugger), Advent Carol (John/Gabriel), No Greater Love (Judas/John); Regional: Quasimodo (Hunchback of Notre Dame), Lt (Sweaty) Eddie in Sister Act!, Pirates of Penzance (Frederic), Spelling Bee (Mitch Mahoney - NJACT Perry Award for Best Supporting Actor), A Chorus Line (Richie), Songs for a New World (Man #1 - NJACT Perry Award nomination for best leading actor in a musical), Seussical (Horton the Elephant). Tj has a BFA in musical theatre from Cal State Fullerton, an MA in Animal Behavior, a MA in Clinical Psychology, and currently pursuing his doctorate in clinical psychology. Tj would like to thank God along with his friends and family for the constant love and support.

Sarah Salazar is a teacher by day and a professional opera singer by night! She holds both a Master
and Bachelor degree in Vocal Performance and has an active performance schedule. Salazar is
excited to be singing with OC Cabaret once again!

Anissa Valadez

One thing you should know about Anissa; she's not a regular mom, she's a cool mom. She asked her daughter, Nova, what song she should do this month and her response was "do that song where you raise your right finger!" I mean, if you've heard Mean Girls the musical you already know exactly what she meant by that. Anissa is so happy to be here tonight and thanks you all for once again; supporting your local theatre kids.
