JUSTIN BUDDS AND STEVE PEPPER: LET ME BE YOUR STAR

Justin is excited to return with everyone at OC Cabaret for their 2nd anniversary!

Instagram: Justin_Budds_Actor

Always grateful for the chance to perform, Steve Pepper is ecstatic to help celebrate 2 years of OC Cabaret Magic.  From building new friendships to reuniting with old friends and becoming something more like family, OC Cabaret has been one of the only constants helping Steve through a tumultuous couple of years.  Steve is incredibly grateful for every time he gets to share the stage with the incredible talent that gathers here, and looks forward to everything that this next year (and his own personal new decade) will bring.

So to a third year of OC Cabaret, and to his third decade, Steve simply asks: “What’s Next?”

SHARON RAE MASSEY: YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND IN ME

Sharon Rae Massey loves getting the chance to perform with so many fantastic and talented friends at OC Cabaret! She is continually inspired by many things in her life but none more than the two people who helped her pick this song tonight: her mom and her nephew! She hopes you enjoy the show and take in the inspiration that all these people bring!

DANIEL BYRNE: WHAT DOES MY HEART SAY

Life is a goddamn funny thing. The trajectory it takes you on is rarely what you’d expect. One
day you’re dancing as Bugs Bunny at a theme park then the next you’re getting yelled at in a
AAA call center. Next thing you know the love of your life spirits you away across the country
where a worldwide pandemic halts your career in it’s tracks, but derails you JUST ENOUGH to
get the experience you need to get back to your industry in a dream job three and a half years
later. Suddenly you're a father of four (cats) even though you’ve always been described as a
golden retriever, you’re getting married in a few months, and you can’t imaging being anywhere
else. Life is wild, but if I’ve learned anything, it’s that making choices in the interest of your own
joy and happiness is what makes great things happen for you. That and the support of those
you love. Speaking of whom, when I shared my comedic song choice last month, a wise
woman named Brooke Aston Harper told me in support that’s great because comedy is hard
and no one cares about your big stupid balled. Anyway, here’s my big stupid balled.

MARIAH MARTIN: NOTHING STOPS ANOTHER DAY

Mariah Martin is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy
New York, and currently performs every weekend as Treasure the Pirate Queen at
Pirate’s Dinner Adventure Buena Park. Mariah is also an entertainment magic maker at
the Happiest Place on Earth and loves to sword fight with her husband in her spare
time. Mariah is elated to be returning to OC Cabaret, and wants to thank her family and
friends for always inspiring her to pursue her dreams.

MAE LODA-BRIDE: MY STRONGEST SUIT

Like a phoenix from the ashes or that suspicious reoccurring rash, Ms. Mae is back again! And everything you’ve read, etched into the public bathroom stalls are true: she’s fun, easy and always down for a good time—but who wouldn’t want their karaoke party hostess to be fun and entertaining? Easy to work with? And always ready to get the party started?

JOHN MILLER AND JOSEPH HUFFORD: OVER THAT NOW & TALK TO ME (GINA: NO MP3’S)

John Miller is a singer songwriter/President of the Steve Pepper fan club who is best known for performing under his own band… *drumroll Kelsey*... “John Miller”. He’s excited to be back performing at OC cabaret for the 4th time. He’d like to thank Kelsey for creating a wonderful space for everyone to share their voice and talents. It means the world to all of us. Also, don’t let him forget he owes Adrian Gomez a Modelo. Catch John and the band at the Parish room house of blues in May!

Joseph Hufford is an Orange County based chill dude! He has been playing music his whole life. His great grandmother loved to play piano and instilled a deep appreciation for music in Joseph. He was a freshman in 2020 when the world shut down and that is when he took a deep dive into his own music. He spent hours studying jazz and music theory and developing his shredding skills on both piano and guitar! He’s played with John Miller in the band since last summer and speaking of which.. Don’t tell John Miller.. but Joseph released his OWN SOLO debut album “coping with words” in February. He’s excited to be here!

ANISSA VALADEZ: I DON’T NEED YOUR LOVE

It’s the two year anniversary of OC
Cabaret!!! It’s been such an honor to be a part of this amazing cast for the last two years. It’s brought me so many beautiful people into my life. It’s also given me the ability to let loose and challenge myself with the songs I’ve performed on this stage.
Being a part of the OC Cabaret family has helped me grow in so many ways. Thank you everyone for coming and supporting your local theatre kids! Thank you ImprovCity for letting us invade your space!
And thank you Kelsey for giving us a safe place to express who we truly are.

JUSTIN  BUDDS: MOM COULD PLAY GUITAR WITH JOHN MILLER

Justin is excited to return with everyone at OC Cabaret for their 2nd anniversary! Inspiration is an amorphous word and the idea of a single song to encompass the complexity of a muse is overwhelming. So tonight Justin is looking forward to a new piece, one that nearly perfectly reflects his journey with music and the love he feels every time he gets to sing. He would like to dedicate his performance to his mother and his Deedee who fostered and inspired his love of the stage.
